El Nido in Palawan, Philippines is a stunning location that boasts bright, white sand beaches, the bluest water you’ve ever seen, mystic mountain archipelago islands and the some of the best sunsets on earth! Despite all this, it’s still not overly well known like Boracay, Phuket or Bali (thankfully!). This is also because the closest airport is 6 hours away and the 6-hour van ride from Puerto Princessa to El Nido is horrendous on terrible roads! I’m sure that once they open the El Nido airport (currently only a dirt runway for private planes), this destination will be booming, so get in now while it’s still quaint and majestic!
