I’ve been to plenty of amazing tourist sites across the East and West Coast of the United States in the last week, and they are incredible, but sometimes it’s the mundane, day-to-day life experiences that end up being phenomenal. As an Australian, every day experiences like getting the subway in New York from uptown to downtown is incredibly familiar from movies and TV that I’ve watched growing up, but also incredibly foreign to experience in person and feels almost surreal. A common experience probably for anyone travelling through the United States.

Grand Central Terminal in New York is not just gra

Grand Central Terminal in New York is not just grand by name. It’s a cathedral. A transport hub with warmly-lit art deco corridors that lead down to The Metro veins of Manhattan. Opulent chandeliers glow beneath giant archways that commuters take for granted as they rush to the metro lines carrying them out of the city. Today I sat at at @ciprianidolci (an excellent vantage point) so I could sip on a Negroni and watch people silently move through this incredible space.
