Today’s photo is close to home. The Sydney Harbour Bridge & Opera house right on sunset. That moment when the lights of the bridge and the opera house sails come on and just before the sun plunges the harbour in to darkness, there’s a moment of magic as magenta skies create a stunning backdrop on a warm spring night.

Hi Ben, nice post and absolutely amazing photos. So many people take shots of Sydney Harbour Bridge but I can’t imagine any being better than yours. Spectacular. Currently in Sydney as part of our little JWalking trip (https://jwalkingin.wordpress.com/) and have obviously taken a load of pics of the bridge and opera house, too many in fact.
Thanks so much Jonno for your kind words! That vantage point is definitely popular (plenty of other photographers out there tonight), so I’m really glad to hear that you liked my images! Your story & blog are great! Looking forward to following your adventures… Enjoy your time here in Sydney!
Thanks Ben, nice of you to say. We saw so many people taking so many poorly framed and badly considered photos of the bridge, wonder how many get taken of it every year? Millions I guess. I got a little carried away myself, they are iconic so its tough to not keep shooting.
